</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I'm feeling a little guilty right now, because I actually get to post TWICE on the 12 Days of Sisboom!! I'm not sure how I <strike>weaseled </strike> got so lucky, but glad I am! I could go on and on about how I love Jennifer Paganelli…but I've already done that so I will just get right to it!!! <br />
<br />
One of the things I love about Sisboom fabric is all of the fabric lines always look so nice together!!! On the quilt I am sharing, I have fabrics from the very beginning of Sisboom to present day Sisboom! There has NOT been a fabric line from Jennifer that I don't like! If you like her fabric, buy it now!!! Seriously! Since her style is timeless you will always have a use for it, and her fabrics tend to increase in value! If you CAN find some of her vintage lines, you are going to pay about $70.00 a yard for it!!! I regret using up all of my fabric I had from her Girlfriends and ModGirls line. Ugh! I have bits and pieces…and I will hang onto them forever. Actually, I am making a quilt just for me with them!!! <br />
<br />
I want to thank <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/frame?post=1833168467&group=0&frame_type=a&blog=7530913&link=aHR0cDovL215cXVpbHRpbmZhdHVhdGlvbi5ibG9nc3BvdC5jb20vMjAxMy8xMS9ib2xkLWJyYWlkLXF1aWx0LXR1dG9yaWFsLmh0bWw&frame=1&click=0&user=0">Kelly</a> from My Quilt Infatuation. I used her tutorial for this quilt. Isn't it a great pattern? I loved making this quilt, and I have another one from her pattern in progress. I just know I'll be making a lot of these!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Check out her blog, she has a lot of pretty things to look at, and she is super talented!!!! <br />

Quilted heart Tutorial</h4>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Welcome to my blog! I am so thrilled to be a part of the 12 days of celebrating <a href="http://www.sisboom.com/fabric/">Jennifer Paganelli!</a><br />
<br />
I can't think of anyone more worthy of celebrating! Not only is Jennifer an amazing designer that just never quits, she is such an encouragement to so many people! She is always celebrating others, it's time she was celebrated!! If you need a pick me up, take a look at her her<a href="http://www.sisboom.com/blog/"> blog</a>. It is dripping with creative ideas, and such happiness!!! I go there every time I need a smile! She truly loves to encourage. I have never met her in person. I've chatted with her on the phone, had some Facebook conversations with her….but never in person! Someday I'm going to show up at her house! Stalker alert!<br />
<br />
I first became acquainted with Jennifer's fabrics way back when she designed Modgirls. I had no idea who Jennifer was, but I loved her fabrics and so did my customers! I eventually started paying attention to the DESIGNER behind these amazing fabrics. I found her blog. I found other people that love her as much as I do! Oh what fun! I really do love every fabric line she has created. Jennifer never ceases to surprise me with her creativity. So with all that, I give you a Quilted Heart Tutorial using her latest line Lucky Girl!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SmBvBH8nrzE/UqPxtUj07RI/AAAAAAAABAI/r45BwVzHpuk/s1600/IMG_1233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SmBvBH8nrzE/UqPxtUj07RI/AAAAAAAABAI/r45BwVzHpuk/s320/IMG_1233.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First you need to cut about 9-10 different strips of fabric 3" wide. I had fat quarters, so that is what I used. The length doesn't really matter, it's the width that's important! You could use scraps too. The goal is to cut 3" squares. You will also need a background fabric. For this pillow I used white, but you could use any solid color you wish. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qm4MKuKbt-s/UqPxw0zSsUI/AAAAAAAABAQ/aXgPUTr5rPE/s1600/IMG_1234.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qm4MKuKbt-s/UqPxw0zSsUI/AAAAAAAABAQ/aXgPUTr5rPE/s320/IMG_1234.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut these strips into 3" squares. You will need 30 printed blocks and 16 solid blocks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MY6Kg1r9jb8/UqPx0hX1DMI/AAAAAAAABAY/C5fi-5hA1oY/s1600/IMG_1237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MY6Kg1r9jb8/UqPx0hX1DMI/AAAAAAAABAY/C5fi-5hA1oY/s320/IMG_1237.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now put together 10 sets of a solid square and a printed square. Line them up nicely, and then with a pencil or a washable marker draw a line down the middle. If you're confused…scroll down to the other pictures! I need lots of pictures because I'm pretty much always confused when it comes to following a pattern! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TfSgHiWpQz0/UqPx51icf6I/AAAAAAAABAg/yCSDN6Qkv5Y/s1600/IMG_1239.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TfSgHiWpQz0/UqPx51icf6I/AAAAAAAABAg/yCSDN6Qkv5Y/s320/IMG_1239.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
See…there's your line! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B54KTk0hnzc/UqPx8C0YFtI/AAAAAAAABAo/7mdGYzj_M18/s1600/IMG_1240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B54KTk0hnzc/UqPx8C0YFtI/AAAAAAAABAo/7mdGYzj_M18/s320/IMG_1240.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now put a pin in it! I like pretty pins, because I just like pretty things. This pin is from my friend Jessica. She was sewing at my house one day, and left these pretty green pins. I kept them because they remind me of her. She can't have them back! Once you have it pinned, sew along the line. Right on the line! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hf3J6i4WQsY/UqPyCSR2i5I/AAAAAAAABAw/kgL0rsTqg9I/s1600/IMG_1242.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hf3J6i4WQsY/UqPyCSR2i5I/AAAAAAAABAw/kgL0rsTqg9I/s320/IMG_1242.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Like this! Now where did that boring white pin come from? Just ignore it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oVBDfc6XeRo/UqTm8Hc41lI/AAAAAAAABCk/hiIBWiza-Bc/s1600/IMG_1296.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oVBDfc6XeRo/UqTm8Hc41lI/AAAAAAAABCk/hiIBWiza-Bc/s1600/IMG_1296.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Just cut off one side and press it open </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8irDjvs3wbI/UqPyGIgWomI/AAAAAAAABA4/t0KQVelTgSA/s1600/IMG_1241.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8irDjvs3wbI/UqPyGIgWomI/AAAAAAAABA4/t0KQVelTgSA/s320/IMG_1241.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you press open your seam it will look like this. Isn't that pretty? Once you have made 10 of these, put your squares together to make a pretty heart. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T8i5VHS3eP8/UqPyLTNWmqI/AAAAAAAABBA/HY5CgEHmyus/s1600/IMG_1243.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T8i5VHS3eP8/UqPyLTNWmqI/AAAAAAAABBA/HY5CgEHmyus/s320/IMG_1243.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pretty Heart </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jrfUwfTZxsA/UqPyOOaqEgI/AAAAAAAABBI/HixfTYqQKtw/s1600/IMG_1248.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jrfUwfTZxsA/UqPyOOaqEgI/AAAAAAAABBI/HixfTYqQKtw/s320/IMG_1248.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you re ready to sew each row. Make sure you are careful to sew those squares the right way! When your rows are done, press your first row of seams to the right, your second row to the left and so on. That way when you sew the rows together your seams will be opposite and line up nicely. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V8hWdKyWmlg/UqPySeMwEdI/AAAAAAAABBQ/ou5lnhXcArE/s1600/IMG_1252.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V8hWdKyWmlg/UqPySeMwEdI/AAAAAAAABBQ/ou5lnhXcArE/s320/IMG_1252.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There it is! All sewn together. Now you can decide what you want to do with it. I added small borders to make this into a pillow. You could also make more blocks to make a nice quilt. Or a wall hanging. Or…you get the idea! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_z7akr78mUU/UqPyVcLzp4I/AAAAAAAABBY/g0wi9ku7OTQ/s1600/IMG_1255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_z7akr78mUU/UqPyVcLzp4I/AAAAAAAABBY/g0wi9ku7OTQ/s320/IMG_1255.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For a 20" pillow I added 3" borders</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3w_j0RiNzvY/UqPyY6krP3I/AAAAAAAABBg/5B6pH4ZRdF8/s1600/IMG_1257.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3w_j0RiNzvY/UqPyY6krP3I/AAAAAAAABBg/5B6pH4ZRdF8/s320/IMG_1257.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

The book I'm using for the pattern is a bit older and outdated so I am tweaking the pattern just a bit. This takes longer, but is worth it for what I want to accomplish. I have gotten some of my Girlfriends fabric out for this one. I look forward to snuggling with this quilt and thinking of all the wonderful girlfriends I have!!! I am blessed :) Can one of my girlfriends tell me how to get rid of the black lines around my blocks? I'm terrible with computers!!!<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have been wanting to make a Drunkards Path Quilt for quite awhile. I purchased an Accuquilt Baby Go about 5 months ago and am just getting around to using it! Sad...I know! I always have something else for somebody else that needs to be done. That's o.k., not complaining! But...I'm not getting anything creative done for me. It's always a challenge to properly balance our lives, isn't it! I decided I need to spend at least enough time today to finish one block. So...I did! I knew I wanted to use something really fun and eclectic for this block, so Jennifer Paganelli's Superfly is the first thing that came to my mind! Her fabrics shout out FUN!!! I did finish one block! Just in time to get ready to pick up my son from school, then we're going to work out,I'll make dinner and hopefully have enough energy tonight to make another block! I REALLY love this, so I think it's a good possibility!!</span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-28077717664903473322012-07-29T09:30:00.002-07:002012-07-29T09:30:51.121-07:00<h2>

I am busily working because I seem to have lots of custom orders for quilts coming in so I don't want to fall behind. Life is funny. I haven't had a custom order for a QUILT in a long time! Now I have about four. Not complaining! I love making quilts. My customer had found a quilt like this in my past sales, and wanted one larger. Plus she wanted a matching doll quilt. She said she wanted this to be her "forever" quilt for her daughter. I can't tell you how happy that makes me that she would choose ME for make her daughters forever quilt! I am honored! I also made a quick little quilt yesterday from this fabric I have been HIGHLY anticipating! It's Madrona Road by Violet Craft. I love her name...Violet Craft! Isn't it just perfect for a fabric designer!!! I loved her last line Peacock Lane, and this Madrona Road is just as wonderful as Peacock Lane! I have more ideas for this fabric, but I just had to make something with it this week!! I'll have more to show in a few weeks with Madrona Road. Have a lovely Sunday!!!</span></a></div>

A Crib Sheet with Piping Tutorial...it's finally here!!!</h3>
<div>
Please read through all instructions before you begin!! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You will need to choose 3 fabrics. Your base, (mine is red) sides (aqua) and piping fabric.</div>
<div>
Base should measure 29" x 52", for the sides you will need two pieces 8 1/2" by 30", and two pieces 8 1/2" by 53". For the piping fabric you will need 5 strips of fabric measuring 2 x 42inches. don't forget your actual piping cord!! I used Simplicity 4/32". You will also need 2 yards of 1/4" elastic.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iWrDbGdYlq8/T-uQwkv1HDI/AAAAAAAAA34/MW9BNSR9eI0/s1600/P1090108.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iWrDbGdYlq8/T-uQwkv1HDI/AAAAAAAAA34/MW9BNSR9eI0/s320/P1090108.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">First cut out your fabric pieces</td></tr>

I love Heather Bailey's Home Dec line <a href="http://www.heatherbaileystore.com/category-s/103.htm">Garden District</a>. It is truly gorgeous! I would LOVE to redo all my furniture in it...wouldn't that be lovely!!! Unfortunately there are 3 Harned men that do not approve. So...I will have to be happy with a purse! and I am :) I used her Saturday Market Bag pattern for this one. It is a GREAT pattern with 3 different variations. Heather amazes me with her talent, and attention to details. I absolutely LOVE her patterns!!! I plan on making one for Fall too!!! The first picture shows the purse with the optional snaps on the side all snapped up. The last picture shows the purse in it's full glory. I am sure this is how I will use it all the time! I tend to throw lots of things in my bag. Do you do that too??? I'm amazed at what I find in my bags!!!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-70973061530409025032012-07-01T19:58:00.002-07:002012-07-01T19:59:32.268-07:00A Blog Hop....come and see!!!<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

A bunch of us Jennifer Paganelli <strike>fanatics</strike> fans are taking turns making something wonderful from Jennifer's book Happy Home. I was thrilled that I was asked to participate in this blogfest since I love everything Sisboom!!! I seriously do!! There are so many fun ideas in her book for your home, it was hard for me to decide. I finally decided upon the adorable doggy bed. Who am I kidding, I've been wanting to make this for awhile and this was a nice kick in the pants for me to get it done!!! <br />
<br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">I used all Crazy Love fabrics by Jennifer of course! I love this line, it makes me SO happy. I already have pillows made from this fabric in my bedroom, and since this will be in my bedroom it made perfect sense!! The directions were SUPER easy! I am a quilter, but followed the directions as they were written, just so I could say I did! I am really TERRIBLE at following directions and prefer to make up my own. I can honestly say these directions are easy and I had no problem figuring them out!! </span></div>

I'm leaving tomorrow for the lovely beaches at San Diego! I am a lucky girl, and am so excited. It's been a little crazy around here with graduation ceremonies, parties and getting ready for the beach. So...I am really happy to have some down time with the family and friends. I have two books, my beach shoes, a little stitchery I hope to actually work on, and big plans to relax! </h3>

<h2>
Mitered Blankets....</h2>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>I have had this on my to do list for quite awhile and finally I did it!! I saw this<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHV2xF247QM&feature=related"> youtube video</a> called magic binding blankets. If you have been wanting to make a mitered blanket, this is a very easy way to do it. I used Jennifer Paganelli's Crazy Love for both sides. I did not put anything in the middle, just plain cotton making it very light weight. A perfect summer blanket! I think I might make a larger one for myself. </b></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-79771176706028123442012-05-26T06:54:00.001-07:002012-05-26T06:54:35.059-07:00<h3>

Now on to college! I'm so proud of him, and just wanted to share a few photos. I am completely consumed with graduations, parties and such. There was a Disneyland trip, a Senior lunch, this boy loves to party!!! Lot's of fun, but I have to say I am really missing my sewing machine! Next week I hope to be humming away. I have so many ideas and projects. But for now, let's party on!!!!</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-67112952914689583212012-05-17T06:30:00.001-07:002012-05-17T06:30:58.818-07:00<h4>

I love to not really have a plan when I make a quilt! Not the BEST way to make a quilt, but in my opinion the FUN way!! I do follow patterns quite often, but sometimes I just need to cut loose! sometimes it really doesn't work too well, but occasionally it does. I really love this quilt! I used some of Jennifer Paganelli's fabric, along with Heather Bailey's Pop Garden, which is featured in the middle. Her Nicey Jane is the ruffle. It is such a lovely day today. We had rain last night, and today it smells wonderful!! I'm from Arizona, so when it rains, we rejoice!!!!!<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uhIsHGLnTtY/T6vne_t1buI/AAAAAAAAA04/XjMJxZ-kIG4/s1600/P1080900.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uhIsHGLnTtY/T6vne_t1buI/AAAAAAAAA04/XjMJxZ-kIG4/s320/P1080900.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

I have a customer that occasionally will order a set of three quilts from me. She always wants Amy Butler Love. I love doing these for her, because they are easy to complete. She wants simple quilted lines, and I get to choose where to put each fabric! I have been thinking though I need to get her onto a different fabric than Amy Butler's Love. I love that fabric, but just like every fabric designed it will eventually be discontinued, and hard to find. Maybe I can get her interested in some Crazy Love???<br />

I was thinking today as I was finishing my work for the day what I had accomplished. When my boys come home from school they often will ask me what I did all day. I usually say oh a little sewing, laundry, I had lunch with Mrs. so and so, and the list goes on. I never really feel as if I accomplish a lot! But as I looked at what I actually did, quite a bit got done!! Even though I'm not working a 9 to 5 job outside the home, I still work hard!! There has been a lot of buzz in the news lately about stay at home Mom's not working. If you are a stay at home Mom, or a Mom at all you KNOW you work hard!! I do and I wouldn't have it any other way!! I really do love my job!!! I work hard and wouldn't have it any other way!!! </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-44875509504225440282012-04-29T11:59:00.000-07:002012-04-29T11:59:10.680-07:00<h2>
A Few Aprons...</h2>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NvHaihLgqzc/T52NmvFV2UI/AAAAAAAAAzI/hybYHjJ-ndA/s1600/P1080838.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NvHaihLgqzc/T52NmvFV2UI/AAAAAAAAAzI/hybYHjJ-ndA/s320/P1080838.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
I have been trying to design a new apron that is cute, but that fully covers ummm....women like me that are maybe a bit fuller on top!!! I think this one will do the job! I want to make the top tie wider and longer so that it ties on the side in the front. Kind of like those adorable pillowcase dresses. That would help to camoflouge those of us who are.....fuller! I actually made the tie around the waist long enough to tie in front, but totally forgot to tie it there! So just imagine this with a cute red tie on the front!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BXPLBrSRA5g/T52Ot7crf7I/AAAAAAAAAzQ/LZH1X0SByJo/s1600/P1080842.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BXPLBrSRA5g/T52Ot7crf7I/AAAAAAAAAzQ/LZH1X0SByJo/s320/P1080842.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
My next apron was one I first started when Tanya Whelan's Darla first came out! Let's see...how long ago was that? I'm too embarrassed to say! I am trying to finish up some of those lingering projects. I have NO idea why I waited so long to finish it. I think it was stuck in a box after we moved last year. So..it's done and I have one less project to worry about and one more apron to wear! I really love to wear aprons, don't you? I wear them not only when I'm cooking, but also when I'm cleaning to protect my clothes. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! After a VERY busy day and late night last night I am truly having a day of rest. I'm exhausted!!! I do believe a nap is in order. </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7436577436836209494.post-11535393548086239132012-03-30T12:49:00.000-07:002012-03-30T12:49:15.581-07:00An Easter PurseI really cannot sew clothing very well....so I never make an Easter dress. I can quilt away....but sewing clothes is another story!!! But...I know I can make a purse!!! The BOSS of all purses is <a href="http://www.gardenhouseboutique.com/">Simone</a> Howell. Have you seen her gorgeous bags? I have been salivating over them for quite a few years!! Not only is she talented, she is very sweet! I decided to make a bag that was heavily inspired....ummmmm actually copied from Simone. I asked her opinion on fabrics, and she was nice enough to help! See, I told you she is very sweet! Here's the bag....not as stunning as hers, but it will do!!!!<br />

I am a curious person, so I did a little research! I found this <a href="http://www.parenting.com/blogs/show-and-tell/sasha-parentingcom/should-cpsc-outlaw-bumpers">article</a> plus quite a few more. So...I decided after reading those articles I cannot continue to make bumpers. So..here's my first attempt yesterday at making cute crib sheets with piping. I'm thinking of doing a tutorial since I really couldn't find any complete tutorials on the web. I think bumpers are way cuter, but this is ok...what do you think? </div><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once again Clover is in the center of attention! She honestly does this on her own, I don't call her over! She loves to be in pictures! I really have been needing more pillows, and with Jennifer's Crazy Love it's been easy to make a few. I also have fallen in love with <a href="http://blog.violetcraft.com/2012/03/grandma-walburga-my-roots-of-handmade.html">Violet Craft's</a> Peacock Lane. Have you seen her fabrics? Love! She has a new line coming out also, can't wait!!! Now all I need is a new sofa! I really want to get a dark charcoal Grey sofa..but so far hubby does not see the need! I'll be patient :) I used <a href="http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2012/03/stamp-collection-making-the-block-.html">Elizabeth Hartman's</a> stamp Collection Quilt Block to make both of these pillows. It is so much easier than piecing them! I have been wanting to try them out for a LONG time!!! She amazed me with her talent! It is Spring break around here and I am EXHAUSTED! I absolutely love being with my boys, having fun, so it is worth Mom being a bit tired!!! But maybe a nap is in order today! Hope you are having a fabulous week!!! I have a lot of ideas popping in my head, so hopefully next week I'll get more done, although these ideas never stop!!!<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-svZxkYo5eZs/T2N-aIx_NEI/AAAAAAAAAyA/KyMEpz311Qw/s1600/P1080591.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-svZxkYo5eZs/T2N-aIx_NEI/AAAAAAAAAyA/KyMEpz311Qw/s320/P1080591.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

Jennifer Paganelli has put something very intoxicating into her latest line of fabric! It's all I can think about! Once I finished those ruffled crib skirts, I quickly got busy on my first Crazy love project. I saw this heart pattern in a quilt on Pinterest. Oh Pinterest! I loved it and quickly decided to make it into a pillow. I am thrilled with it!! It looks perfect on my chair in my bedroom. My next project is a postage stamp quilt.....with more Crazy Love of course! I told you it's intoxicating!!! <br />

I love creating crib bedding sets and quilt sets for my customers. It's so fun to be a part of their excitement and joy of welcoming a new member of the family! All my customers so far have been happy! I have this fear that someone will receive their bedding which they have paid a lot of money for, and I have spent a lot of time on and hate it!!! This is why I changed my blog name to an insecure quilter....I can't help myself!!! When I receive their email saying how they love it, it really makes my day!! So I continue on......<br />
<br />
I finished two crib sets this week, whoo hoo!!! Both had ruffles, which are really pretty but SO much work!!! I'm ready for something a little simpler!!<br />

Except for the fact that I haven't blogged, and I haven't really done a lot of sewing for me :( or friends and family. I hate it when someone wants a pillow, or a quilt and I just don't have the time to do that. Things are slowing down, and I have a few projects on the quilting floor! Literally! I'd be so embarrassed for you to see my studio! It's a hot mess. BUT....I do know where to find things, and I am slowly getting it organized! I have realized that being organized is NOT my specialty! I need help in this area, but that's for another day! <br />

</tbody></table>I'm leaving you with a pillow I finished which I really love! It inspired me to work on another pillow which I love even more! I purchased a bunch of Crazy Love from Jennifer...and I'm so eager to get lots of projects done with it. For some reason this fabric line really inspires me to sew!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
